DRAMATIC, BODYWIDE COSMETIC & FUNCTIONAL IMPROVEMENTS IN A SINGLE VISIT
What is a Body Lift?
A body lift in Portland is a patient-tailored cosmetic surgical procedure that raises and reshapes a sagging body contour while reducing unsightly excess skin and fatty tissue. As we age, our skin loses much of its natural elasticity causing the mid-section to lose its shape and firmness.
By removing this loose skin and the stubborn fatty deposits, a body lift effectively corrects that sagging and returns to us a more youthful look that brings with it greater self-confidence, personal pride and outright age-relative beauty.
Our Portland body lift is an embracive and powerful cosmetic procedure that has the following benefits:
Removes excess, sagging skin to reveal a slimmer and more shapely figure
Reshapes the abdomen, hips, back, buttocks, flanks and thighs in a single visit
Alleviates emotional pain and physical rashes or infections caused by excess fatty skin
Builds a tighter, flatter and more toned physique
Restores body image, self-confidence and beauty
Collectively, these benefits also restore the ability to enjoy exercise and other physical activities, wear a wider variety of clothing, and engage in and enjoy life with greater self-confidence and pride..
Am I a candidate for a Body Lift?
If the concept of a body lift appeals to you and starts light bulbs flashing, you are likely a candidate for it. Each body lift is preceded by a confidential personal consultation to understand your own concerns, conditions and goals. The body lift treatment is tailored to you personally. Patients who make ideal candidates for a body lift are especially those wishing to reshape their mid-body contour, correct sagging skin and fat that occurs with age or after excess weight loss. For mothers of one or more children, who gained weight and experienced stretched skin as a result of these pregnancies, the body lift can be especially transformative
Body Lift options and procedure
The exact procedure of a body lift varies from patient to patient and depends on their own body type and goals for the procedure. A body lift typically involves an incision along the beltline where excess skin and underlying fatty deposits are removed. The skin is pulled tight and sutured into its new lifted position in a highly complementary manner that vastly improves the contour of the abs, thighs, back and butt.
As the procedure is patient-centric, it has multiple possibilities and options: Liposuction can be added to remove additional fat in problem spots including the hips, flanks, pelvic area and abdomen, and a tummy tuck can be done concurrently, to bring extensive improvement to the entire lower body.
Body Lift recovery
Our Vancouver WA body lift procedure is done under general anesthesia and requires from 3 to 6 hours to perform. Following the procedure, patients should refrain from heavy lifting and all strenuous activity to reduce recovery time and produce the best possible outcome. Bandages will be in place that minimize swelling and drainage tubes will be placed to drain excess fluids. Because the procedure is thorough and extensive and lifts a large portion of the lower body, we’ll want to ensure recovery is smooth. This usually requires an overnight stay in the hospital. Following this, all postoperative pain can be managed by pain medication, as the body adjusts to its brand-new look and feel.
