IPL stands for Intense Pulsed Light, a form of facial rejuvenation that relies on a high intensity broad spectrum lamp emitting both visible and infrared wavelengths. IPL is effective in treatment a broad range of skincare issues, from hyperpigmentation to acne scarring and rosacea.
During your procedure, a crystal-headed device is used to deliver the light energy to the target damaged areas, while perfectly preserving the surrounding healthy skin cells. IPL is considered quite gentle and non-invasive as it is performed gradually.
IPL treatments are typically performed every 3 weeks and take about 30 minutes for each session. You will begin to see results right away, but Dr. Gabriel recommends at least 4-5 visits to see comprehensive improvements in the complexion.
