Cellfina FAQ

Is Cellfina safe?

Cellfina is an FDA-approved treatment for cellulite. It is safe, and no serious adverse effects from treatment were reported during studies. The most common side effects of the treatment are that the treated area may be bruised and tender. These side effects clear in the days and weeks ahead, leaving only smoothed, firmer skin.

Is Cellfina permanent?

The results of a Cellfina treatment may last up to 5 years. While the results don’t last a lifetime, the smoothing effect is far, far longer – and more visible – than can be achieved with other treatments.

Does Cellfina tighten skin?

A Cellfina treatment doesn’t tighten skin but works by releasing the bands of tissue that create the dimples on buttocks and thighs, if you have lax skin, an added skin-tightening treatment can be performed.

Is Cellfina an invasive treatment?

Cellfina is a minimally invasive procedure. The first step is to numb the area with local anesthesia. The procedure involves the use of a custom device that breaks the fibrous bands creating the dimples and bulges in the skin surface. The procedure involves minimal downtime, with most patients feeling well enough to return to their usual activities, including work, the following day.
